How many bf109's does it take to down a IL-2 Sturmovik?

got jumped by 4 bf109's. The il-2 sure is a tank!

I no have same feeling...  on fact i think any of bfs attack you was a  succefull  attack and dont hit u  ...  only  the last hit you, and you can see on single pass you was  down....  video is a mix of good defence and poor atack ... the first enemy really hit you, simply, kill u.

 

First series are really fragile.... especially from  six attack... controls gone on single burst.  Il2-1943 is more strong.

actually that is true the last bf  109 was the one that did all damage. I thought a few others got some shots in.

But I have to say the last 109 hit me alot!

I saw more than twice times your video... from external views i can't appreciate damage on wings or tail.

 

The last guy made a great attack no doubt. Is logical he shot down you . Any way u can see u crash to land inside the trees too fast... afortunally and il2 is like a F1 car... indestructible cockpit  , u and your wingman still alive... the true is , on general, on il2, planes can crash very fast to ground and occupants survive

 

For me fly first series of il2, is a little frustrating.  Il2 is  a strong airplane,  strong wings and fuselage.... but controls are very fragile. Most common for me is be shot down because i lost rear controls and crash... if enemy are good shooting, he kill me on first pass....  historically the il2 weak point was radiator under cockpit... enemies try shot to this point for break il2. Incredible , but this pilots can manage to try point her guns on this little area..  Here for il2 first series, more than 80% i was killed , was because i lost controls due enemy fire from six

I really need play more on il2 -43 , my first impression are , is more strong in all aspects. Estructural and controls.  But i need fly more hours to be sure.

I think il2 from 41 and 42 need a little work for made more hard kill them because il2 lost controls

its totaly differant vs AI and on top of that at low where axis AI usealy just crash in ground, or vs human players who knows what are your week spots.

Yeah, I agree the control loss on the rear Is usually why I go down!
