How to skip over missions that crash?

Hello everyone, 

 

I'm playing through some of the excellent scripted campaigns and occasionally encounter a mission that crashes the game and so I can't complete it to progress to the next mission. Fair enough - the devs have to be able to change the software to advance the game and the campaign authors can't spend their lives continually checking that the missions still run as designed - so this is not a problem.

 

Is there a way to skip past a mission that can't be completed? I have had a look at the files hoping to find a flag like "mission completed = 1" and just edit it to go to the next mission, but I can't find anything that looks like it does that.

 

Any suggestions?

Hi!

There is no any mission list which determines the order of their launch in the campaign. So, you can delete wrong mission only and the campaign will switch to the next mission.

Close the game, backup the campaign folder somewhere and delete wrong mission. For example, you've a problem with mission 12 - you need to delete all files of this mission. To check it's the mission you need - open *.eng file in the text editor and read name and briefing

Glad I found this topic as I was experiencing the same problem.  How many hours did I spend looking for the correct value to change?  Too many!  Many thanks.
