JtD Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Yet another argument for the theory it's better to be lucky than good. 1
steppenwolf Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 ...very close. Explosion looks good! Should those tracers be 'streaked' until they meet the center of the gunsight? To show velocity?
Volkoff Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Erich Hartmann would probably call you a sniper shot and tell you to get a little closer. Great video! Thanks for sharing, Emil. MJ Edited February 9, 2014 by =69.GIAP=MIKHA
LLv34_Flanker Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) S! A close call is not counted Was funny to see how the landing gear tires flew off symmetrically Edited February 9, 2014 by LLv34_Flanker
Bearcat Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Wow! That says something about the DM though.. Something good IMO.
HagarTheHorrible Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Bit of a bug there with the main gear wheels.
Flanker15 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Russian wheel ejection system, wheels are very valuable in Russia. 2
Revvin Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Wow! That says something about the DM though.. Something good IMO. I was surprised to see the 109 fly through all that unscathed
6./ZG26_Emil Posted February 10, 2014 Author Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Yeh same here. I was going to go over the top but for some reason at the last second pushed the nose down for a last squirt and to duck underneath. When everything exploded in front of me I thought I was dead and my foot was right down on the rudder like I was bracing myself, it was only a second or two afterwards that I realised the plane was unscathed. I tried to show in the 2nd half of the video how the 109 misses all the different bits that came off even the wheels, I scrolled around and there was no conflict (hit boxes) at all the tail and elevator were inches away from some of the parts. T6-ADStukadriver Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 That was sharp. I liked the way the fuel in the separated wing tank burned out. I have had similar close calls...but mine all have ended with me adding to the fire in bits and pieces...
FlyingH Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 You might call that target fixation, right??
