Yet another argument for the theory it's better to be lucky than good. :)

...very close. Explosion looks good!

Should those tracers be 'streaked' until they meet the center of the gunsight? To show velocity?

Erich Hartmann would probably call you a sniper shot and tell you to get a little closer.   Great video! Thanks for sharing, Emil.  :salute: MJ

A close call is not counted ;) Was funny to see how the landing gear tires flew off symmetrically  :P

Bit of a bug there with the main gear wheels.

Russian wheel ejection system, wheels are very valuable in Russia.

I was surprised to see the 109 fly through all that unscathed

Yeh same here. I was going to go over the top but for some reason at the last second pushed the nose down for a last squirt and to duck underneath. When everything exploded in front of me I thought I was dead and my foot was right down on the rudder like I was bracing myself, it was only a second or two afterwards that I realised the plane was unscathed.

I tried to show in the 2nd half of the video how the 109 misses all the different bits that came off even the wheels, I scrolled around and there was no conflict (hit boxes) at all the tail and elevator were inches away from some of the parts.

The lug nuts were loose.

That was sharp. I liked the way the fuel in the separated wing tank burned out. I have had similar close calls...but mine all have ended with me adding to the fire in bits and pieces...

You might call that target fixation, right??
