Soviet Air Force training units?

Hello all,

 

I've been looking for information on Soviet Air Force pilot training and couldn't find much information about it. Could someone describe or link me information to the selection and training process for Soviet pilots during WW2? Were there dedicated training squadrons? Operational training units like in the RAF? Plane markings for training units?

These books have a pretty good description of the process, I know u likely looking for more specific stuff, but u will get the basic idea..
