Is it allowed to ask who has participated with feedback? I'm not interested in what was written, only in how many have taken the time.

I did, for what it was worth.

Of course.

If they say they will listen, we'll talk.

The one problem with feedback, this current solution, or any really, is that mostly it will be those of us that frequent the forum who will give feedback.  The vast majority of players never set foot in here, hence they probably have no idea about this, or even if they get it in a client wide email, they won't respond.  I hope they do, but I have my doubts.

Probably true. If so, some valid opinions and excellent ideas are lost.

I agree, and it's sad to not have their opinions given.  More solid feedback can only help the devs keep this thing moving forward, to all our benefit.

Yep, did write it.

The important thing is that we respond, because we matter more.

Haven’t sent it yet.  I’m up to my third draft. :)

Saying what in 230 words is fine.  But not being able to explain “why” is difficult.

I'm perfectly fine - just wondering why it seems to be such a challenge for you to provide a simple bit of feedback. It's not like this is an MBA-level essay here.

My feedback takes a bit more explaining.

Well at least what you write will be for the Dev eyes only and not open to the usual sarcasm from some.

Take your time and make those words count as you have until the dead-line.

I thought many, if not most of, players who play IL2 series, enter the forums. I mean, this is mot the typical arcade game, it has some level of "seriousness" (in how is made), so I guess if you spend 60 or more dollars in the game, you should at least take 5 minutes to search info on forums (after all, to play a sim properly you need info about the planes and such, which you can easily find in the forums). It would be like buying an expensive car without even reading its "manual" or safety info, or whatever.

Anyways, I gave my feedback, I liked this opportunity to be concise and be able to go "straight to the point". I wish its coming back in the future.

Indeed, somebody that does not look at the forums frequently would not even know that there is currently a feedback period open, as it has not been advertised through email even. But on the other hand, as the feedback is in the form of written text, it could be very time consuming to go through all the written feedback, if a bigger percentage of their customers answered. So, they could assume that the active forum-goers is a good enough sample population to represent their entire customer base. Or if they want to make the sample size larger, pick up the main issues from these written feedback responses, categorize them and then send out a new feedback request through email, where people just tick their answers on a form or pick from drop down lists, so the devs could see their customers priorities without having to read through thousands and thousands of written lines.

Provided feedback, very brief and to the point.

They are going to parse our feedback by keywords anyway, no need of oratorical prowess...

That’s just what she said ?

No harm in taking the time to be both precise and perspicacious.

I replied, however, it remains to be seen how seriously the development team take our responses on board, most likely the major issues are too expensive or time consuming to put right so will continue to mar what is a superb product overall.;)

I usually never do any kind of survey as I find they do no good, especially those put out by our employers to ascertain how happy we are,  they never address the real issues certain elements of the work force have, if the majority are okay then the few are ignored, however, those few might be the backbone of the entire enterprise and continuing resentment at lack of their issues being dealt with can have serious repercussions for a company  in the long term, same with politicians in that regard to the electorate.

Anyway, bitching over.:drinks:

Wishing you all the very best, Pete.

The first part I think is valid but this team's track record is impressive when it come to improvement. Major improvements like moving to Dx11 caught almost everyone by surprise. Given that, I'd continue to expect big things.

The second part fits the company I work with to a tee. Hanging on for retirement. I'll work to my standards (which I feel exceed the company's) and let them stumble on their merry way.
