SOLIDKREATE Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Hello my fellow skinners. I have found a color photo of a ZG26 Bf-110E? with a the ZG26 emblem. I previously thought the border was white around the shield. It turn out that it is yellow maybe RLM04 dual piped in RLM21. I hope this helps you with your future projects. Oh and this will also affect JG6 as well. 1
bzc3lk Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) This photograph shows it being white? There are that many faked re coloured WW2 Luftwaffe photographs on the internet these days , it is near impossible to be definite about the emblem colours . When looking at the black and white photograph, to my eye the surrounding "white" outline does look a different shade when compared too the white inner emblems. Edited November 3, 2018 by bzc3lk
SOLIDKREATE Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 Maybe yellow denoted a flight leader?

SOLIDKREATE Posted November 3, 2018 Author Posted November 3, 2018 I am well versed in the hierarchical make up of the Luftwaffe. My meaning may have been missed. What I meant was that because possibly a flight leader (Kommandeur) customized the emblem. Here in the states the Navy squadrons do that.
6./ZG26_Gielow Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Or maybe is just the staffel color. We had white, yellow and red. Blue and green for staff.
