Mods on not working ?

Hey Gents I just downloaded the grass and flower mods and wanted to check them out but when I selected the Mods On selection I now cant get in my game. It restarted and when I add password and hit enter it just spins and spins. Now I cant get back to my regular game either...What happened and how can I fix this please...

 

Or maybe the servers are down?

 

 

 

Update I changed the mode back to 0 in Config file everything is good but I still cant access mods on, is that normal?

No that's not normal.

Maybe you've got some corrupted files in your game.

Might be a good time for a reinstallation of IL-2.

Also are there any mods that will work in multiplayer like the flowers or the pilots bodies?

 

Is there any type or repair option like in DCS?

AFAIK you can't play Mods On mode with multiplayer, even for just graphical stuff.

That's a shame some of these mods should be added to the game by the developers it definitely adds to the immersion. Oh by the way its working again....wierd

Yes, you can play mods on in MP, but the mods on servers are not visible in the MP list unless you have Enable mods selected in your game.

Yeah I tired and it only showed like 2 servers shame there's not more servers with mods or a way for servers to control what mods get used.....I love the flowers and grass and the pilot bodies. They add so much to the immersion...Im repeating myself but these are must haves if you ask me.

Rise of Flight had some mods that worked in the “mods off” mode. Don’t know if that’s possible with IL-2. 

I wouldn’t get hopes up about servers running mods though.

There should be a way that the servers can control which mods they will allow or not....After seeing a body of the pilot in my cockpit my jaw dropped...I understand about the whole cheating thing but mods that don't affect an aircraft's performance that only make the game that more attractive should be allowed...just my 2 cents that all..

Yeah, I can’t remember what they were though. Obviously they were things that didn’t affect the game much.
