Career mode Bug, spawning PE (flying as a russian), as enemies UNSOLVED

Found this pretty strange bug flying my career mode in a LA-5, last chapter of the stalingrad campaing, it seems somehow the game is spawning PEs as enemies, but they even try to come back to russian airfield to land. Even friendly LA's engage them

Also, killing them count as a normal kill, not friendly fire, and also as a transport kill.

It's probably just Kg200 flying enemy aircraft (joking).

You might be able to find out more detail about how and why this happens for your bug report by opening the mission file in the ME - it will be in missions folder as _gen.Mission immediately after you fly it, before you generate another mission.

 

Or at least post a mission file that displays this behaviour here, if you still have it,  so that someone else can have a look.

it will be in your Il-2 sturmovik battle of stalingrad/data/missions folder

 

_gen.Mission is whatever was the last mission generated either by the career or by the Quick Mission generator, so it changes all the time.  So obviously looking at the file will only help if the last career mission displayed that strange bug.  Or you can wait until it happens again and then copy _gen.Mission and resave as Weird mission.Misson inside your missions/my missions folder and open in the ME or play it from the Missions menu in the game.

But like i said, it happaned 3 missions in a row, so it wont be hard to happen again

Nope, I can download from there but still cannot open it.  This forum likes .zip format - try that.

What tool are you trying to open it with?

Notepad worked just fine

Sorry - still on my first coffee of the day: I was trying to uncompress. 

 

I can load the _gen in the ME and indeed there are a flight of Pe-2s (with Russian pilot names) marked as German just as your screenshots show. 

 

I have no idea how or why this bug is generated, but at least with the file to look at someone in the dev team might be able to do it.

Anyway, its a very strange bug, i may not have fought a single german pilot in the last chapter of the secong campaing, only killed Soviets, flying as one
