Finkeren Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 No exact measurements, but these pictures should give you an idea: P-51: P-47: P-38: Which one has the best measurements? I don’t know, you tell me.
IckyATLAS Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 (edited) The width of the cockpit at pilot position and a little forward, from blueprints I get 53.89 inches or 136.9 cm. This is the external max width of the fuselage at pilot position. I have no dimensions from the interior width of the cockpit. But you can easily extract on each side 7 to 10 inches between fuselage and lateral instrumentation. You have also to consider that the fuselage being oval the max width is at the pelvis when the pilot is seated. The width at shoulder height is much less. I cannot do better that. Hope it helps Edited October 27, 2018 by IckyATLAS
