I can't understand it, high school German was too long ago.

Does it say anything about "The Bluenosed Bastards of Bodney" handed us our asses today?

There is soviet like fighter in the one of the gun-camera shots...

I could see something what looks like failure at take-off, too.

Great footage, though I’m fairly sure I saw a Yak in there.

Then again, it would be pretty hard to find positive footage out of the clusterfk that was bodenplatte.

I saw a most hair raising takeoff of that Fw190D9 racing through that ditch...

Will we have airfields such as these in BoBP, wher we have to takeoff through little lakes?

Did you actually learn German in school? US right? I'm surprised.

Ontopic: I think German propaganda and the reality could not have been further apart. They really could have used this guy for the newsreel.

He said they sent nearly 800 aircraft to knock out the airfields, but all the fire and damage effects disappeared after just twenty seconds.

Not a failure but close call. Shows well how difficult conditions they had to operate back then, no wonder why accidents happened so often.

Yep - Frau Larsen.

Room (Stalag) 42

I could never get a handle on the different forms of his, hers. mine etc.

Mostly because I didn’t really want to learn German...I just figured it would be more interesting than being stuck in Spanish class. In the end I could understand fairly well, but speaking or writing it was out of the question.
