Landing gear up/down alarm in German aircraft....

I remember from old il2 series, the 109’s had a flap alarm with no gear down.... or something like that...

I just remember hearing something from then that I don’t hear in our new il2 series...

 

am I mistaking it for something else?

I seem to remember the same thing. I may be wrong but I am sure that the devs would not have missed this one if it was there irl.

Yes, there should be flap alarm sound indeed. Don't know why it's never implemented.

will they have the gear up warning when throttle idle?

Well, we already have this for the two Spitfire. Didn't tried / noticed on others like P40, P39 and A20. I'll have a look.

 

OK, just made some tests in the quick mission builder with the following results:

 

- Both Spitfire give a warning sound when throttled to idle in the air  -> OK

- P39 give a warning sound  -> OK

- P40 give no warning sound  -> Not OK

- A20 give a warning sound  -> OK

Lol I had to look up what a klaxon was but ya!   It was very similar to that. It is missing

IIRC it was deleted on later series. G something I believe.

Oddly enough, I actually liked it. Gave the 109 even more character.

I seem to recall way back in early BoS development, that this was discussed, and IIRC it was a deliberate decission by the devs to leave it out, because it was almost universally disabled or deleted on operational planes by 1942.
