Muff_Huggar Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 I purchased Flying Circus several weeks ago and liked it enough to put BOS and BOM on my Steam wishlist. Well, the sale started on BOS and BOM, and I couldn't pass it up at the price. But I have a question. Now that I have BOS and the Steam account is linked to the IL-2 one, do I need to keep the standalone version of Flying Circus on my machine. I had to move missions and skins from the standalone to the Steam directories, so it's obviously not using any of that stuff. I think if Steam and IL-2 know what I have, there's no reason for me to keep the standalone version taking up valuable SSD real estate. Is that correct?
unreasonable Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 If you can access the Dr.1 and SPAD from your Steam startup of BOS using the QMB, then the answer is no. You had to move missions and skins across because you put them into folders yourself: but all the developer made FC material is already in your Steam download, and will get updates by Steam automatically, so if your link is working correctly you now do not need the standalone FC. 1
