I am using latest Adrenalin drivers 18.10.1 pretty much at default settings. Only in WattMan I have undevolted my Vega 64. Thanks for the links anyway AMD should work more closely with 1C/777 to get more out of the drivers..

 

There are some issues though. FRTC does not work, at all. If want to limit FPS then use Chill feature. It works and gives a bit lower power consumption as you do not run at maximum FPS all the time. Just set it at a feasible FPS(minimum) and maximum to your monitor refresh rate for example. That way the game won´t try to run at maximum FPS in menus, for example.

 

One of the more annoying things is that IL-2 does not have proper full screen or it is odd. This can be linked to FRTC not working. According to Jason using full screen is not mandatory, but there is a slight performance loss when not. While using full screen in game ALT + TAB is slower and has issues compared to when not running full screen.

 

Graphically IL-2 is not that taxing to the GPU, activity hovers from 40 up to 100%, average being 60-70%. GPU clocks are not running maximum except memory speed. It runs at full speed. CPU usage is as low as below 10% on my Ryzen. I just got a new mobo, so need to tweak it first before checking IL-2 performance, but in general FPS seems to be 80-120fps or higher.
