taffy2jeffmorgan Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Hi, How can i send an inflight recording to a friend via email as an attachment, just to give him some idea of what this fantastic combat flight simulation has to offer, as i have never tried anything like this before I would appreciate if i could be shown a path to follow. Cheers.
Alonzo Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 I think you'd be better off sending him some YouTube videos, maybe one from DerSheriff or something like that. That way someone else has done the work of editing and making it look good. Alternatively, you can play back a replay and use something like OBS to record what's on screen. OBS is complicated and you can Google around for how to set it up, but this would let you show your own perspective. I did this today to show my first TAW air to air kill (it's a recording of my VR head movements so it looks kinda jerky - when you're actually in VR it's much smoother because your eyeballs compensate).
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted October 21, 2018 Author Posted October 21, 2018 Thanks very much Alonzo, that's sound advice, the Youtube sounds like the best option. Cheers
IckyATLAS Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 I have not tested it, but if you have made a recording, the files are in IL2...../data/Tracks directory. For each recording you have a directory and the corresponding *.trk file. If you send both to your friend he may be able to play it. Probably you have to have identical IL2 BOX versions. Worth trying.
