ironk79 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 I am sure everyone expiriences loading stutter at the beginning of every mission, even with quick missions. But is there a solution or "fix" for the stutter you get when looking around and/or zooming in a new direction? After the "first" stuttery zoom, lets say while looking over your left, the following zoom is buttery smooth, always, so its not GPU related. Is there a way to preload data or expand the area that is preloaded? BTW, have been flying coop missions on my dedicated server, made the already quite smooth gameplay even smoother. Only downside, large numbers of AI still bring fps down on its knees. Can a potent (CPU single core performance, RAM is neglegtable) dedicated server help with this, anyone expirience with it?
OrLoK Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 (edited) in VR I always look around to get the environment/plane fully loaded in before take off. I run box of an ssd. Edited October 17, 2018 by OrLoK

Alonzo Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 I get this with HT off on my CPU. I assume it’s delayed loading/compilation of something, maybe shaders or something. Once I’ve zoomed once it’s much smoother.
ironk79 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 Will have to look into it, not sure if HT is active at the moment. i will report.
ironk79 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Posted October 18, 2018 HT was indeed deactivated. enableing seems to improve the issue a bit
=TBAS=Sshadow14 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 turn on Shader Cache in Nvidia control panel.. It will stutter the first time but thats about it. Or im just lucky.
firdimigdi Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 Slight necropost here but I've been encountering this sort of loading stutter, even made a report some time ago here: It even occurs with cities. I can fly north to south over Cologne for example and it'll stutter once, if I circle back and fly over the same section of the city it'll be smooth. Switch it up and fly east to west and the same situation as new sections of the city are loaded, after it's all loaded then flying over it in any direction is stutter-free.
firdimigdi Posted April 22, 2022 Posted April 22, 2022 Might as well mention that sadly this specific type of stutter is still with us. Same repro, same effect - no framedrop, no registered frametime inconsistency; rendering just freezes as if a synchronous function is taking too long to respond.
