ACG_Invictus Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Yikes. Mechanic servicing one F-16 accidentally triggers it's 20mm cannon, destroying another parked F-16 and damaging another. Luckily no one was killed. https://theaviationist.com/?p=62176 1
Blooddawn1942 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 (edited) Hope this unlucky guy has a good insurance... Does this count as a victory or is it a groundkill? ? Edited October 16, 2018 by Blooddawn1942

LLv34_Flanker Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 S! I really wonder how the mechanic managed to bypass all the safety measures etc. to fire the gun on ground. The gatling requires 3000psi of hydraulic power to rotate, electricity, weight off wheels info, possibly landing gear uplock info, signal from armament computer and speed/altitude data from air data computer etc. Sure, the F-16 can be different from F-18 I work with, but it is next to impossible to fire the gun on the ground on it. 1
