RoF had fairly robust water physics for the Felixstowe, and I would assume that any PTO IL2 worth its salt will have pitching decks on carriers...so floatplanes could, and should, be a thing. I seriously, seriously, seriously hope the PBY Catalina (at least!) makes it into the game eventually.
