Guest deleted@134347 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 (edited) so I literally just read that it's possible to hook up a PSVR HMD to the PC and play Steam VR titles with it.. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/game/use-playstation-vr-on-pc-3682369/ anyone tried it? ************ The first step to using PlayStation VR is to download and install Trinus PSVR, the third-party software that allows your PC and your PSVR headset to ‘talk’ to one another. .. Once Trinus PSVR has been installed on your PC, the next step is to connect the headset and adjust the resolution settings – PSVR operates best at 1080p, so you’ll want to make sure that your display output matches this. .. - Press the power button on the inline cable remote to turn the headset on. The PC should then recognise the headset as a second display. - On the PC, head to Settings > System > Display and, under the Multiple Displays subheading, select Extend these displays. jaydou Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 It does work. Prior to purchasing a Rift, I creatively obtained a PSVR from my son. There were some limitations for me (probably due to the 1050 ti video card I have). I couldn't read the instrument panel unless I zoomed in and it was difficult to spot/identify planes without the icons on. That said it gave a great sense of flight and VR. The rift took it to an entire new level but I would certainly recommend using the PSVR. Trinus is a requirement and it must be running to use the PSVR but it is easy to set up. Hope this helps.

I wanted to create this topic for the web search crawler/indexers to pick up the fact that PSVR works with IL2 and for the people wanting to try it out with Il2 using all possible means.
Alonzo Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 We have a guy in our squadron who plays IL2 with a PSVR, and it was pretty workable. It's only 60 fps but he never complained about it and was pretty deadly multiplayer. He has now (like last night) upgraded to a Vive which I'm sure will be a better experience, but PSVR certainly works to get you a sense of the game in VR. 1
