Game wont close

Whenever I quit out of the game the launcher window never closes. It just says "Stopping background tasks. Please wait" but I've left it for upwards of 3 hours and still wont close. And if I force close it I can't open it again until I restart my computer because it says that it is already running. I bought this off the il-2 website not steam incase that matters.

there is no need to use the launcher except for checking for game updates.

You can run the game directly from il2.exe located in the same folder as the launcher.
If you right click on launcher on your desktop then open file location you will be taken there
(IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of\bin\game\IL2.exe)

Create a new shortcut to this il2.exe and run game directly enjoy no launcher hang and often smoother game.

when you hear a patch is released or know its coming run the launcher.

And after updating, close the launcher, do not click "Play". Use the IL2.exe!
