MG 131 guns on the Bf 109 3D model misplaced?

Comparing with a couple photos it looks like the MG 131 guns on the Bf 109 G-6 (and G-14) are too close and should be more separated, located more to the sides of the cowling:

Not only the cannons, look at the width of the canopy when compared to the pilot's head dimensions between the two photographs. I agree something is off.

Seems like the whole forward 109 fuselage is too narrow. Also, the supercharger intake scoop is either placed too low or the bulges are dimensioned incorrectly.

Yes, this might be true - but be aware of the correct angle and distance when the photos were taken.

To me it seems that the two photos of the front fuselage are not taken from the same distance, but

you're right, the two guns are too close paralleled.

You can't simply take a photo and compare it to the ingame model. The lense of the camera can mess up the angles.

Yep, zoom and FoV distort the image differently if they aren't the same. I tried to recreate the photos the best I could, the front nose one isn't perfect because I need more zoom in game, and that was at maximum zoom already, but in the other two I think they are close enough.

I guess the best would be to compare with an accurate blueprint.
