Not sure if this one has been posted up before. Incredible sound, would love to see one in the flesh one day.

Interesting to see that the swastika replacement matches the one we have in game.

While "Rote 7" and other buchon converted 109's are awesome machines, it's refreshing to see "proper" 109 with correct paitjob for a change. Gotta hear that mighty engine sound in flesh one day!

Yes, good fuel and warmed up engine in pristine shape. They'd for sure trail more black in high power low passes when running on C3.

Can't stop watching this. The paint job is excellent. The flybys are absolutely jaw dropping. Hopefully we get to see/hear some cockpit footage/audio from this particular plane too.

I was able to see Red 7 fly while I was in Zeltweg, Austria years ago for Airpower 2005, and yeah, it's a great sound.

This video is amazing! I wish they would have done a few more wide angle shots though. You really cant get a sense of how fast she's really going with the camera zoomed in. The pilot seams to be pushing the aircraft fairly hard as well. I need to see this in the flesh....I bet that sound just goes right through your soul!

Here is one more in formation - it says 3 109 but one of them is a Buchon.

Germany lost the war of attrition. But when it comes to technology, they led the way. From the OP video, with a pristine mustang flying the same as this pristine G6, the 109 was EVERY Bit the contemporary of the P-51. Ive seen many mustangs fly ( not in combat), but never a 109. This video just shows....the 109 was never really, "outclassed". This video helps us understand why an aircraft like the P-51 was needed. The 109 was a VERY capable opponent in the right hands. I cant wait to see how this plays out on MP.....

 

On more equal terms than those dealt by history, I think there is going to be some shock for the pony jockeys in MP. The G14 does NOT suck.....and the K4......and we know nothing about the D9 yet beyond historical specs.

 

All this talk of Jugs and Lightnings and Doras and Kurfurst's......lets just say, its not going to be the overtrained allies against the under trained and overstretched Luftwaffe. These wars between virtual factions are going to be NUTS!!!!!

That is correct, BUT the most important Thing is the tactical aspect. That better planes often even lose against worse planes. For example the F3F/F4Fs against the Zeros. Often they suffered high loses till the US Navy deployed nice tactics to counter the Zero attacks. Then the F3Fs and F4Fs wasn't so weak anymore and the fight was even.

MP has nothing to do with how things played out in history, MP is just fantasy in all aspects exept airplanes used and maybe airfields used, and nothing remotly close to conditions thouse airplanes faced. So im expecting same as it was in il-2 1946, wth lack of 190a9, 109k4 will rule the skys in thuse late war maps where youll have them facing equal number or even less oponents online. But it wont be as easy as its now with 109f4s vs yaks thats for sure. With lack of spt XIV, tempest will be thing of nightmares for axis ?

 

in game you dont have to have airplane that can fly 8h+ so its normal to expect reasons why 51,47 or 38 was great airplane doesent mather in game mp enviroment, 109s could not even properly escort their bombers to britain, but 51s could df over berlin and come back with extra fuel
