How the hell do I get it to stay in the middle?

I've tried to set the "re center" button up, but it helps shit...

I've spend nearly 5 hours on this..... So I'm getting pretty pissed….

I need a very slow tutorial…… everything I find so far help not at all....

Welcome to the forums!

New to the Rift?

Normally I would start by recommending to re-run sensor setup, but first please describe all you have done and system specs.

Well, so far I've figured out that even if I start the game without VR, it always sets my initial view high and right.

Relatively new, I've run the setup again, so that's not a problem. It works fine in Elite Dangerous.

But there seems to be a problem with the initial setting of the view in general, not just in VR. Problem is, I simply cannot adjust it in VR.

Are you using the VR Re-center view assigned to a button?

Thats right, you can’t. If it’s the initial view that is bugging you go to monitormode, move about with the “insert-del-pageup-down” keys and press F10 to save a new default position for that particular aircraft. This new view will be your default in VR too, though you can’t adjust it there.

Thanks all for your help.

It seemed like the adjusting the view while NOT using the VR was the way to go. That was not hilariously fun using several hours trying to figure that out.

Ok, now it works, and it's absolutely a blast.

Just the feeling of speed, zooming low over the ground... it's really impressive. Why would anyone cruise at 15.000 feet, when you can have water spraying onto the windshield flying over rivers is beyond me.

And I've flown "low" in a Piper quite a lot, but never this low (probably an unfounded fear of dying is keeping me from it in real life) :)
