senseispcc Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I tryed my first skyn for a Fokker Dr1 and the result was Strange at least…. It is the plane of Oblt. Weiss of Jasta 10 during 1918 and like is name could predict it iot is white (weiss in german is white) but the result is ... I supose I did not choose the right dds format, I learn from my mistakes even if they are very funny and are very dificult to fly. 1
unreasonable Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) That is one way to get wonder woman view. Does it actually fly and look like that in game? I remember in RoF being able to make almost everything see-through to create a camera plane for film making, but there were always a couple of elements that prevented complete transparency. senseispcc Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 It does fly but it is very difficult to control only because you onluy see the interior of the plane and not the wings , fuselage or tail. And yes you can see the engine working but not the propeller.
Zargos Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 It's certainly a matter of alpha channel. If your alpha layer is plain black the whole skin appears transparent in the game ...

Find those and and add black alpha channel and you can get rid of them too. Never found out how to get rid of the glass parts, though.

Yeah, if you find the Alpha channel and change it's 'blackness' to a SLIGHTLY lighter shade then you will have a whole plane again. You COULD manipulate the Alpha channel entirely (which is definitely preferable) but if this is a little beyond you then just do the above. I hope this helps and apologies for the scrappy writing! senseispcc Posted October 5, 2018 Author Posted October 5, 2018 All I did is paint the entire plane white and save it under DDS with Photoshop.
