Deleted snap view and now new problem (Fw190A8)

Hello, I searched and did not find this exact problem in the forums unless I missed it. After turning the game on and playing in the FW190A8 many times with no issues, a few days ago the pilots head was completely turned around looking at the headrest when I turned the game on. Track IR was set correctly so I asked a few people and got the advice to go into my IL2 game data and delete the snap view for FW190 A8. This fixed the problem of being turned around backwards but now I am no longer looking through the reticle I am centered with the windscreen and have to duck down and over to get my eye through the reticle, which is bad enough. But the second you shoot the view jumps over away from the reticle back to center. Can I just uninstall the game and reinstall it to fix this? Will I lose all the add ons I have purchased? I bought the game on Steam but purchased everything else direct from the developers store. Thank you for any advice.

How did you fix it? Would be  great if everyone who reports issues that they fix explains how they are doing that to share with the community.It might help others with similar problems!
