Bravo1hasegawa860 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is with around 33.000 examples build the aircraft most build in german history, but not the most build everytime, the german wikipedia told to us. This was the Iljuschin il 2 Shturmovik, with around 36.183 examples. In its history it was used not only in Germany. From the Spanish Civil war to long after WWII foreign nations make use of this aircraft... more or less happy with them. License production was in Spain, and CSSR. after the war, modified with other engines. Used in the time of war, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Romania, Switzerland, Finland, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria... After the WWII tschech build Avia S-199 "Mezek" was used in Israel. Here are some pictures from aircraft, that has been used in WWII with german allies. The pictures are from 1C-games "Battle" series. Moscow, Stalingrad, Kaukasus, and Operation "Bodenplatte" (in progress) This one is an Bf 109E-7, around 1941/42 in use over the USSR from the Royal Romanian Air Force. They fought over Sevastopol, Crimea, Stalingrad. One of the main tasks of them was over the homeland also. Why? The Oilfields of Ploesti where essential for the Germans. So the romanian Air Force has the privilege to have some modern aircraft more than other "Allies". But... When the country was invaded by Soviet forces in August 1944, King Mihai I (Michael) ordered Romanian forces to attack Axis forces, and the FARR was allied with Soviet Voenno-vozdushniye Sily against German and Hungarian forces in Transylvania and Slovakia, though some units continued to fight with the Axis in Luftwaffe volunteer units. Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 of the Royal Bulgarian Air Force. Bulgaria signed the pact with Germany in 1938. but refused to take part in the fighting against the USSR. But this fouls declared war on UK and US. This aircraft was never in the skys of the Soviet Union. It was in use against the endless Bomber-Formations over Bulgaria on their way to and from Ploesti and over the homeland itself. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 of the Finnish Air Force (FAF or FiAF) (Finnish: Ilmavoimat ("Air Forces"), The original Insignia of finish military aircraft was a blue svastica in a white circle since the swedish Baron Rosenberg handed over the first military used aircraft to the Fins. It was his personal Insignia and has nothing to do with the german Swastika. Other nations used it also to 1944, like Latvia (red swastika, white circle,) and Sweden. I have no idea was Stalin hit, to do battle with the Fins in 1940. But after the Invasion of the USSR by the Germans 21.July 1941, the Fins came on the german side into this war, called it "Continuation war." They foght over Karela in the course of Leningrad. But after the armistice with the USSR in September 1944 Finland was required to expel or intern remaining German forces as part of its peace agreement with the Soviets in mid-1944. As a result, the final air battles were against retreating Luftwaffe units. This one is a BF 109G-4, around 1943 wich was in use with the Royal Hungarian Air Force (Hungarian: Magyar Királyi Honvéd Légierő (MKHL) Hungary has declared war with the USSR and hungarian troops are in use on the eastern Front, fighting over Caucasus, Crimea and the Ukraine. Some Squadrons are with the german JG (Jagdgeschwader) 52, After April 1944 they where recalled to the homeland because of american Bombers over Hungary. This Aircraft is a Messerschmitt Bf 109G-4 of the Regia Aeronautica Italiana (Mussolini-Ar Force) In 1943 the italian Air Force was in need of a modern fighter. Yes Italy produced some aircraft in WWII, but the Macchi MC 202 Folgore was meanwhile outdated, not to talk about other fighter aircraft of them. The new types Like the MC. 205 "Veltro", The Reggiane RE 2005 "Sagittario"and the Fiat G. 55 never reach that big numbers in production for the needs. The italian Air Force know the Bf 109 since the Battle over Britain 1940, but only the Bf 109G reached italy in greater numbers. This aircraft was never over the eastern Front. It was used maybee over Sicily and the last fighting of the Mussolini-Air Force. Messerschmitt Bf 109G-14 of the ANR. With the end of the Mussolini-Ära, the italian Air Force split up. One part was the Air Force "Co belligerent Air Force" on the Allied Side. The Allies never trust them. So they are only "co-belligerent". They fought not over italy, but over the territory of the later Yugoslavia. The other Part was the National Republican Air Force (Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana or ANR) over that what was left from Mussolini-Italy as "Italian Social Republic" or "Republic of Salo". Here was Mussolini the "head of state" but in reality he has nothing to say. It was a german "Protektorat". But in things of fighting in the air the Italians where left alone from the Germans. No active german fighters where left in Northern Italy. 1944/45. The main opponent of the ANR are the american Bombers against all the cities in northern italy like Turin, Florence, Mailand... Heavily outnumbered by the masses of the allied Air Forces, 1944/45 the ANR managed to shoot down 262 Allied aircraft with the loss of 158 in action. 2 3
