BebopJP Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Hey everyone, I like to fly with no HUD indicators, meaning I have to use my cockpit gauges for all info. The only problem with this is I also love the I16 which makes viewing the cockpit a pain without headtrack or VR. Is there a way to do something such as setting a view preset on the cockpit that I can switch to in order to quickly to view the cockpit? The sluggish "move head down" command just doesn't cut it in intense moments.
JonRedcorn Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Try setting up snap views or as posted already there seems to be one that will show you the gauges, this can be rebound to a key more accessible.

kestrel79 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 I have one of my hat switches on my joystick and throttle for snap views. They can come in handy even with TrackIR. Joystick hat up is zoom to gunsight, hat down is a quick check six. Throttle hat back is a check gauges snap I think it's "." by default on the numpad.
BebopJP Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Oh wow, didn't realize I got all these responses. Thanks guys!! I'll go try these out! The (.) and snap views should do it. On 9/27/2018 at 7:51 PM, OrLoK said: (it's a pain in VR too ) Haha. Imagine those poor pilots.

The holes in the cowling above the instrument panel where designed to be able to view the instruments. They don't work very well with TIR. 1

kissklas Posted November 7, 2018 Posted November 7, 2018 The default "costom view" position is a dashboard snap. That should do the trick. What I do in VR, and what I suspect the I16 pilots must have done is; not see the right dial through the hole, curse for a bit, and break my neck trying to fit my head between my legs like some bizarre flying contortionist. I love the plane though. Worth the pain. 1
