LLv34_Flanker Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 S! Visited Battle of Britain Air Show in Duxford last weekend. An event you won't forget! Planes flying were from Bristol Fighter from WW1 to the modern era F-35B. Not to forget the stars of the show: 13 Spitfires flying in fotmation. Lancaster and B-17G were a truly impressive sight in the air. Had a chance to talk with a SR-71 pilot. A true gentleman! He had flown the exact plane that is in Duxford museum. He signed a SR-71 book for me. Awesome to talk with one of the fastest guys in the world, except X-15 pilots. But we agreed laughing that does not count, a rock et plane I have to send a very big thank You to a forum member here, Diggun. He took us to a tour thru history in Cambridge that left us gobsmacked. He brought history to life and showed us places that have a great place in history. Not to forget the legendary Eagle Pub. Having a pint there was awesome. Once again, thank You Diggun for giving such a experience and a walk in history! 4
