P40E-1 In full glory

I tried to have it as real looking as possible. 4K image, sun elevation and plane angle to have nice metallic reflections, the mountains behind with just the right dose of atmospheric haze, fluffy clouds etc.

A great contribution to the final image quality comes from the excellent 4K skin of Edgar D. Ball 7th FS 49th FG, made by A-E Hartmann.

I hesitated a lot to take the picture with gun firing in anger or not. I preferred a more relaxed impression. It took me around twenty shots before getting the one I felt was right.
