So - ya know how the AI will follow you to the ends of the earth, up to and including right back to your airfield.  Yesterday I got mine.  Flying a 110 on a train busting mission.  Attacked by two Mig 3s.  They penetrated the escort and forced us to ditch the bombs.  During the fight I got some hits on one and he bugged off for home.  I chased him back to his home field and shot him down with his wheels down (it was a bit longer than that - he was actually maneuvering to evade for awhile with his wheels down).

 

That was somehow satisfying.

How dinged up were you from the MiGs and flak? Manage to get back?

 

Then again, even if you did get back, IRL you’d probably be kicked out by the Staffelkapitan

I feel your joy!   I have occasionally enjoyed finding an enemy airfield in a career and shot up the enemy planes with their lights on... seems fair to me given how often the AI does it to my own flight.   

 

Safest way to do it is on their downwind leg, when they are some distance from the field and hence the AA guns: if you miss and they are turning crosswind do not follow them but turn away from the airfield and circle back towards the beginning of their downwind leg. 

 

Most dangerous way is to get them while they are actually touching down - although this is also the most fun!

My escort engaged them first.  When they got through they really didn't get a good run at us, so both myself and my flight leader were fine.  Flak didn't hit me over the airfield.  

 

I think . I'm good with the Staffelkapitan because he was right there with me

I'd love if there was some way for them to open up *just* the AI to the community.  Just to see if there is *something* they can do with it.

 

Otherwise if RoF is any indicator, I fear we're stuck with retard AI forever.

Are you sure? Perhaps they - or it - is just concealed, watching for trouble makers.  Come to think of it, perhaps the RoF/BoX AIs are Skynet: they are so busy manipulating world events that they have little time for the mundane job of flying.

Maybe I am too negative. I am quite happy with some other things about the game but on other parts i preffer to complain or report bugs istead of claping everything. 

Maybe my way to say it is not too friendly etc. My english is not native also so...

 

About the IA I am not too positive because is complicated to change it with the resources they have so will take a long tome to change. I dont care about that because I am not flying ofline but i Know is a big negative part of the game for this kind of player and i would be very disapointed to wait for that time if i were one of this players flying ofline.
