I'm looking forward to using the 262 as a fighter-bomber more than anything else in Bodenplatte, honestly.

That's good, because the only units on our map are ground attackers after November 1944 ?

There will be a lot of ground attack units throughout all career

I./SG 4  (Fw 190  F-8)

II./SG 4  (Fw 190  F-8)

III./KG 51/NSGr. 20  (Fw 190  F-8/G-8)

NSGr. 1 (Ju 87 D-3)

NSGr. 2 (Ju 87 D-3)

Will the Night Squadrons get night missions in the career? I could see those being pretty interesting.

I can't answer, I don't create any missions for the career, only for the scripted campaigns. This question also concerns Soviet U-2VS, which is mainly used as a night bomber.

There are night fighter groups in the 110 in the Kuban career.  Do you get night missions there?

Anyone have an idea if the '262 will have fuel tank management included ?

No. You get normal fighter squadron missions.

Fuel tanks management was unofficially announced long time ago, now it's not sure if we we will have this feature implemented. It would be great but it has not been officially announced yet.

This mechanics applies to all aircraft, not just Me-262, although in the case of Me-262 and American long-range fighters like P-51, P-47, P-38 the lack of manual fuel tank management would be much more important than in tactical planes from the Eastern front.

No other aircraft have fuel management yet. I've seen them say they wanted to add it but no idea when that might come to pass.

I wonder how sophisticated current algorithms are with respect to fuel usage.  We know that airplanes perform better with less fuel, so there is certainly some modeling.  If you add fuel management then you have to get pretty detailed in the modeling of the effects of fuel usage from different tanks - impact on CoG, impact of fuel sloshing about.  The P51 is a good example: the center tanks caused instability to the extent that they were drained before even external tanks were used.

If you pay attention to your fuel gauges in flight in various planes you´ll see that certain tanks get emptied before others. If the order is correct idk.

If they already have the underlying modeling done then that would certainly make implementing player fuel management easier.  Now ... where to map all of those new inputs :)

I dont know how much is modelled. It could just be the fuel gauges that are right . And I guess on the keyboard lol. I don´t have to many buttons left. I´m already worried about where to put the p47 turbo

You can map it where you will have „Höhengas“ for the Fokker D.VII in future FC releases. ;)

I'm a P-38 fan myself.  Just such a different looking plane.

How are special collector's planes available for purchase? Shortly after the master planet has been developed or can it be before?
How was it with past editions (BoS, BoM, BoK)?

In the past its always been everything gets made and fully released, then collector planes are sold separately.

I do seem to remember with BOK it took a couple of months. This may have been on steam though.

You mean the ones included in the game (P-38 and D9)? Or do you mean aircraft that haven't even been announced yet? In the first instance I'm not sure but you will get them already anyways. The 2nd instance no one knows if we'll even get extra collector aircraft (probably will though)
