II./JG27_Rich Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) This was a good find. Edited February 1, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Also the G10 Black 2 but now it has a different paint sceme "Yellow 3" with a light camouflage
DB605 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 "black 2" was so good looking back then with K4 style paint scheme, galland panzer etc. I personally hate it's current "yellow 3" scheme, not only unrealistic for G10 but also boring. And yet there are literally hundreds of great schemes for G10 to choose...
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) I've seen much worse ....It needs dirt and soot !! Edited February 2, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
Heliopause Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I remember having an magazine in the '90's with an article about the recent rebuild of FM + BB. One of the things described was that it's pilot Walter Eichhorn learnd a few tricks of flying the 109 by none other than E. Hartmann. 1
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) That's a good "War" camouflage for the G10 Edited February 2, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 And do FM BB like Heinrich Bartels's G6...Then on Battle of Britain day..you buzz the field with all of the 109s you have without telling anyone at Duxford. That's my dream come true. Make sure you take lots of cameras so you can record all of the first shaking the Spitfire pilots are going to give you With all of the Daimler Benz 109s coming up there should be five or six just across the channel alone. I remember having an magazine in the '90's with an article about the recent rebuild of FM + BB. II./JG27_Rich Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Well what the heck happend?? Why didn't they finnish it? Or they could always do a Bodenplatte G10. I always thought that would be a great idea. Maybe Herbert Maxis although I think that was a G14/AS but it's almost the same aeroplane. Edited February 2, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
DB605 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Well what the heck happend?? Why didn't they finnish it? Who knows, maybe they just wanted it be more "uniform" with Rote 7. It's sad especially because there is so much cool schemes available and most of the G10's were painted in late war colours rather than grey/grey scheme anyways. Edited February 2, 2014 by DB605
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) I like these camos. Both will be flyable and both Daimler Benz engines Edited February 2, 2014 by II./JG27_Rich
DB605 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Yeah they are both nice and pretty accurate. I would still hope something bit different and still historically accurate as there is now three almost similar schemes...however the most important thing is of course that they all fly and are equipped with DB's 1
II./JG27_Rich Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 there's two flying now and more on the way
Mysticpuma Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Got to be honest I have always liked this footage...not a 109 of-course but a Me-410: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAcgUPjb16Q Edited February 3, 2014 by Mysticpuma
Bearcat Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I hope I manage to get to some airshows this year.
