Generating Character Portraits

I have extracted the game files for character portraits and found that all parts of the head are separately saved (eyes, mouths etc). Which means some kind of algorithm creates a random character portrait at the start of a career. Any ideas where I can find this file?

I had noticed that these portraits are sort of “cut & paste” in some cases with some pretty weird looking results....I’m guessing there is some legal problem with using real portraits of real people. I seem to remember in the now ancient original Il-2 Sturmovik the portraits used were of the Russian techs who had worked on the game. It wasn’t until later that actual German & Russian pilot portraits could be used...Its been a while since I used PWCG or the Russian version but I seem to remember they do use “real” pilot portraits.
