BUG: Game/career froze after my career pilot was wounded and bailed out

I have 77 mission career (Stalingrad I/JG3). On the last mission, I was wounded and bailed out over friendly territory. After the mission report, the game froze. After the game restart, I was not able to continue my career - if I try it the game froze again.... 

I solved this by editing cp.db - I changed the last day of the career to the next day (and I also had to change my pilot status from 0 to 1 in order to be able to continue as commander). The new day was generated empty but the next day was generated with normal missions... Career now works and I can continue (but lost 2 days due to the bug).
