unable to start missions since day 1

i bought this sim through steam one weeck ago .Since day one starting a mission is touch and go , it might start it might not , i get a blank monitor display and have to reboot the pc up to 4-5 times with the hope that a mission will start . I requested assistance from steam and sent them all they requested and yesterday to my great surprise i received an email from them requesting me to disconnect the joystick ?!!!!! i replied that the solution is unacceptable and is not serious , i have given them 48 hrs from today to find a solution or i i will be forced to request a refund .  So i am here in this thread asking anyone who has had this issue and wether you have found a solution on your own or through consulting friends ? if so please assist .

This is an issue with your PC specs or set-up, not with the game which works fine for most of us.  As i am not a technician I would not want to speculate, but if you were to post the details of your PC here it is possible that one of the more technically astute forum denizens would be able to identify the problem.   Alternatively find a live body who is a PC technician and  persuade or pay him/her to diagnose and fix the issue.

 

Steam Support is useless, forget it. The support desk for Il-2 BoS is reached through their main site page, and may be more help, but you would still need to give them complete PC specifications.

i know a couple of technicians , i'll call them and see what they can do next weeck . thanks for the info .
