Interesting style choice, having those gigantic labels for each entity covering the object entirely.  It's like battle of the Dymo tapes.  Maybe moving those labels to the side of the screen would be a better solution?

Yep, I've been following for over a year now.

Pretty excited TBH.

Looks cool, a bit old but still nice. Shame there is no land battles or even just as AI only thing  to admire.

I bought it and played a bit, made steam review so here are my thoughts:

Spoiler

There are not many games about pacific or strategy games about naval and air combat, so it's really great that some developer decided to cover that topic. I expected this game to be a Mius Front or Tunisia 1943 but on the pacific, it's not unfortunately. It does not have such a high level of realism or details. I don't want to talk much about graphics since it's not the most important thing, it's not the best but it also does not make your eyes bleed. Effects are kind of nice, especially anti aircraft fire. Islands are not the best, lack of towns or details really hurts there. It's only covered with fuel tanks, few army buildings and anti air/naval guns.

Details are what is missing, ships don't seem to break in half, there is no infantry sitting in boats during invasion, these boats disappear when near land instead of simply hit the beach and stay there, it's not much to ask I think and would be great thing for immersion.

AI is not the best as well, you can see enemy AI attacking your island with 2 destroyers and they are annihilated by coast defences, cargo transports don't seem to have any cover, AI also attacks your huge task force with really small force, for example 2 light cruisers attacked my navy with 20+ ships. AI of friendly units is not the best as well, you need to micro a lot, often when you send planes to attack enemy ships, they fly in circles or fall back for some reason. You are forced to take every single flight group and order them to attack different ship (or they will all attack one). If you want torpedo planes to hit something, you also need to micro them or they will attack front of ship and all torpedoes will miss... while bombs have 99% hit rate.

Another big problem i have with this game is historical accuracy. We start in 1941, a bit before Pearl Harbor, but Japan is already your enemy! And entire pacific is taken by Japanese!! It feels like game starts late 1942, it takes away a lot of fun, not only because it's not realistic but because you start as attacker, you have to attack enemy islands instead of being weaker (when playing as USA) in 1941 and having bunch of your ships destroyed and damaged at Pear Harbor, followed by invasion on many pacific islands like Dutch East India or Borneo.

Game feels like early access, there is bunch of smaller bugs like planes hitting water and bouncing of it. But there is also a lots of great things and potential. I kind of understand negative reviews but I don't agree with posting one. Devs seem to listen to people and if we want to see this game getting better and better we should support them, it's small team and they created very original game. If you are into this kind of games, you should really buy it, but it maybe a risk, since we don't know if game will get long time support. I think it's worth buying even just to support idea and devs and encourage them to work on this game.

Game needs a looot of work, but still i gave positive review and recommend people to get it. It's the support that game needs, if people will buy it, devs will support it for long time, fix and add new stuff. It has great potential and even quite fun at this state as well.
