Martin077 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 If I fly the career, I could never come back with a damaged aircraft, which could be repaired. It was always a total loss, or lost, or crashed even though I made a good landing. But sometimes the Ai comes back injured and the plane is only "damaged". The squadron room says "fixed till next day" or something. what does "damaged" mean? Just a small bullet hole or how?
Finkeren Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 It’s not properly implemented yet - plain and simple. In missions you fly it’s always either 100 or zero. Damaged planes will only happen in missions where you don’t participate. It will most likely be implemented though. IIRC in Rise of Flight career mode any damage to a plane beyond a few bullet holes would be counted as damaged (though the time to repair seemed random and not tied to the damage received) However, any damage that killed the engine, or even if it just ran out of fuel, would count as the plane being “destroyed”. Hopefully they will be able to implement damaged planes in the career and at the same time make the criteria for destruction a bit less rigid.
