Last Mission of The Night

If you're interested in a cooperative campaign but don't know where to turn, the Eagle's Nest is for you. For the last few weeks we have been flying cooperatively and have been having a blast! We have recently opened up the event to the rest of the community. Our cooperative campaigns are using PWCG over a dedicated server on the East coast, which gives a much more realistic multiplayer experience. What do I mean? Well, the server doesn't have GPS, kill messages, or any of that silly nonsense, you would find on adversarial multiplayer servers! And because this is an ongoing campaign, there are very limited resources (ie: not that many planes), and if you perish or get captured you will have to start your pilot career over. As you would expect, people who have been flying with us try to stay alive and not blow up their plane. Plus, week after week, your stats are saved and are persistent. If you miss a week, no biggie, those stats will be waiting for you next time. We've been duking it out over the skies since the start of the war in 1941, and now in July 1943, our group just recently got transferred from Stalingrad to the 27th Fighter Regiment in Kuban, flying La5s and LaGG3s. Trust me, this amount of realism is a ton of fun. Do you want to join? We fly the cooperative campaign every Wednesday at 8pm Eastern Standard Time; with our next event on the 12th of September. You can read more about the event here:

So with that background context out of the way, here's an after action report of the last mission of the night:

Quote

...While on standby, we received a phone report from one of our ground forces. Enemy stukas were spotted nearby and command ordered us to intercept. In route, we were engaged by two very sneaky Mc202s. The 202s came in from our 7 o'clock. We, however, had the better planes and the altitude advantage. One of the blue flight - I believe Blue-2 (Lt Bones), took some light damage but was able to continue mission. As we continued towards our projected intercept, we found the stukas but a little too late. They had dropped their ordinance and were headed home. The La5 flight easily caught up to the Stukas because of how low altitude they were, and worked two of them. The LaGG3 flight finished off the other two. Two of the La5 flight took some minor engine damaged and returned home while the LaGG3 flight finished the patrol without incident....

And the video of that mission as viewed from @[TWB]Pand's cockpit.
