Blitzen Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 (edited) I wondered if anyone has read of news about new vehicles & ground weapons that may be included with BoB particularly American & British tanks ,half tracks, trucks, jeeps etc. American quad 50’s or German quad 20’s mounted or dismounted could make low level strafing attacks as dangerous as they really were in ‘44 and 45...AI anti-aircraft in BoX can be pretty deadly already, but improved late war weapons could give one pause in say airfield attacks.. Thad Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I know of no authoritative sources that provide reliable new news about upcoming or planned vehicles and ground weapons for inclusion in BoB. ? It's like waiting for Santa to arrive on Christmas morning. Oh, the anticipation. ?
-SF-Disarray Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 They haven't said much about what will be in BoBP aside from the map and the planes announced. One could logically conclude that some of these weapons and vehicles would be added, it would be kind of silly to go to all the effort of recreating the planes and terrain of the battle without doing so, but they have not explicitly said they will be adding them in so far as I'm aware. I would expect to see this kind of information, if indeed it will be made available, in the dev diaries before they release the final elements of BoBP, perhaps just before the map is released.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I'm 100% sure they will have this by the time of the full launch. It would be very strange otherwise. 2
BlitzPig_EL Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 Well, they are working on the Sherman for the Tank game.
ShamrockOneFive Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 I'm sure they will. They did a few new objects plus ships for Kuban and a whole bunch for Moscow and Stalingrad before that. I'm sure the will do new battle appropriate objects here too. 1

Though it's a version of Sherman which would be quite rare in NW Europe by that point. I expect they will be making a full (equivalent to what is in any of the other modules) for the US/Commonwealth, and adding some to the Germans as well.
BlitzPig_EL Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 From the cockpit of an aircraft will the subtle differences even matter? 1
Poochnboo Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Well, hell. From the turret of the Sherman will it even matter? 7 minutes ago, BlitzPig_EL said: From the cockpit of an aircraft will the subtle differences even matter?

I also expect they will add new "live" vehicles the same way they added new ships, subs, and AA machineguns for BOK. However, unlike in BOS and BOM, they didnt create any static (low poly) ground units to decorate the airfields (all BOK planes missing). That's one thing I really miss when building missions. I hope they get a chance of adding these items at some point as well as an animated tanker truck (currently only static version). This would add a lot to the ambiance on the ground. 1
Gambit21 Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 They can’t make this theater without appropriate vehicles etc - goes without saying and no need of verification on this matter. 1
