There will be more to come as so far this is based only on the first 116 posts. I will update when more is posted ...

- Clouds and Sky are being done but aren't ready yet

- There will be icing on the aircraft at altitude

- Access periods (currently Fri-Mon) won't change until the QMB is done

- Multiplayer in Feb

- Messer manual CEM is done and being tested on AI planes. If all works then it may very well come next week says Zak but Loft later says that AI is killing the engine on manual CEM and they need to get that sorted first to understand why. Not so that AI planes can fly on manual CEM but so the automatic regulator on the Messer works properly.

- Optimised presets are coming with a table of what does what.

- Contrail visibility range same as for planes

- Very cold weather means contrails will be lower than people expect

- However on the published screenshots the LaGG is at 8000m

Yep, nice to have this information

You sure they say icing will depend on altitude? Not on the combination of temperature / moisture level?

Sounds friggin' awesome!

All linked. Obviously it gets colder at alt. Don't worry.

Best news of all from Loft - the project is going very well, in places better than expected.

Question: "Will icing at high altitudes be implemented?"

Answer: "Yes."

That's all there is.

Everything is translated correctly. Don't be shy to ask questions, gents, I'd be glad to help.

There are a couple of questions in the update topic, and even if the answer to all of them is "no", I'm sure we'd appreciate the response. Well, I know I would. :)

What about flight model questionable issues like :

- springing planes noses due to pitch movements

- overraction on rudder movements which casue flick rolls instead downspiral and slow roll movements

I wonder if  Your team think that everything is ok here,  known that something is not correct and plan to fix it in future or have no idea yet?

Please can questions from our forum to the Devs go in the Questions to the Devs thread or the Part 51 Discussion thread?

This one is specifically to share stuff discussed in the Russian forum that might be of interest to us too.

Still, as the 1cgs team have posted this publically elsewhere, they won't mind me showing a beta test pic:

A bit more from further answers -

- new motion blur etc can be switched off or toned down in Settings>Camera

- colder dense air gives roughly +100 HP

- Spotters are in for testing, not final version. Will be very useful in hardcore games.

- Contrails shown are very earliest version and will be improved, hence not in EA this week

Thanks Tatarenko for all of this, and

A bit more

- the "orange ball" on the target plane placed by the spotter is a bug that will get sorted.

That's a relief. I skipped dogfights this week because of it.

Well that's not really necessary. Pressing H makes it disappear too :)

The map from Stalingrad to the west border is 250 Km long plus I estimate 50 km to the east so the map is 300Km from west to east! For a Lagg-3 mod29 this a little too long a distance to travel and I ended up in a belly landing 5 Km from the destination airfield near a village like this picture proves it:
