E4GLEyE Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) the 37mm beast has a weird bug/feature, when firing a single shot, it sounds like i shot twice. A big Bang and an other one right behind it... So far I dismissed it as a bug for not having single shot sounds, but than I looked at it from an external view, and seems like the second bang is heard when the cannon slides forward, ready to fire... Is it supposed to be that loud, and is it a bug? Or a feature? Edited September 4, 2018 by E4GLEyE
1CGS LukeFF Posted September 4, 2018 1CGS Posted September 4, 2018 That's the sound of the cannon chambering a new round.
E4GLEyE Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 wow, it is sure one loud mother ? thanks for clearing that up!

It's all louder than what you'd hear irl but it makes for some cool sounds. All the sounds are pretty goo in this game, the only ones weapons sounds I feel need work are the .50s

I admit I havent heard a real P39 engine sound but I cannot imagine it being like that.

Feathered_IV Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I don’t know how much stick time the sound engineer has in real P-39s, but did they really make that rhythmic change of note every five seconds? It’s like the sound sample isn’t perfectly seamless and you can hear when it repeats itself.

Jade_Monkey Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 I'm not saying there shouldn't be any whine in the engine. I'm saying the way it's currently in game is pretty bad. That video just proves that the in game sound needs a bit of tweaking.

I imagine that one day he just happened to see a tank, and thought to himself “yeah, I can put that gun in a plane”.
Cpt_Siddy Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 (edited) There is definitely something going one, it sounds like it shoots not twice but three time for me for a single trigger pull. Like *boom* *boom* *boom* *clonk* Where the last sound is the cambering of a round? This sound problem is not limited to the 37mm tho, many MG's roll the sound effect longer than i pull on the trigger if i do a tap. Even when the muzzle flames are not flashing.
