Confused on Bf-109 G6 access

Hi All,

 

Apologies for the noob question, and yeah I've only just noticed this

 

Is the G6 a standalone collectors plane? I was under the impression G-6 came with the Early Access BoK Premium Edition.

Yeah I'm about to buy it as I take it it's a standalone collectors plane, and not part of any package.

Yeah it's a standalone plane, not part of any title. Same thing with Yak-1B, La-5FN and Ju-52.

The G6 is indeed a stand-alone collector's plane. BOK comes with the G4 as the Bf109 version.

Yeah, they had to quickly make the G6 as a stand-alone collector's plane and incorporate it into the BoK career due to the public outcry over the fact, that BoK contained only one version of the Bf 109.

 

Thankfully they learned their lesson with BoBP, which will have the mandatory 2 109s. 

 

Wait... ....maybe this is why the move to the Pacific is taking so long? They are still trying to figure out a way to fit 2 Bf 109s into the plane set.

no, over the outry that BoK only contained the WRONG version of 109 (this is my personal opinion and does not reflect the opinion of testers or the devs)

Thanks all, I pulled the trigger and the G6 is now apart of my hangar ?

 

Just took her for a quick 1v1 QM ... wow she handles well and has some teeth ?

Well, the Ki-61 kind of looks like a Bf-109, the M6A1 bears a passing resemblance to it, and they both use Japanese versions of the DB601, so... problem solved?

For the initial plan of the BoK campaign, the G-4 was the correct option. Otherwise players without BoS wouldn't be able to fly fighter units in the German campaign (as the Fw 190 A-5 is in Jabo units).

What would have been the CORRECT version for you? You can´t have enough variety of 109s. Same goes for YAKs. I would love to see early Yak 1s in BoM and Yak 9s in BoK. Maybe someday we´ll get them.

to replaced the G-2 and F-4 in Battle of Stalingrad and in Battle of Kuban the G-4 aswell with the G-6. To fight the What-if-German-Saga in there Adolf Galland had his Version of the 109s MG 131 above below MG151 over Stalingrad and with MK108 over Kuban.

 

I see it this way the variety of 109s is confused because the changes are indeed small. DB605 has the G-2, G-4 and G-6. The DB605 could do already 1.42ATA if the G-2 chassis had not the oil leaks. The G-4 is the G-6 difference only the weaponry.  Somehow the variety of 109s is pointless

If I remembre correctly: is  the BF109 G6 the serie  most produced ? or not?

With 12.000 produced in must be not far from the most produced serie/variant.

If I am correct then it is  logical it should be in any game with the correct time frame and frontline to introduce it.

The G6 was by far the most-produced variant. It was also the one with the longest production run and the one that saw the most changes to its design during production, pioneering the MW50, a new radio system, the Erla Haube, the taller wooden tail, the MK 108, direction finding equipment and Lots of other things.

I don't seem to be able to access the Bf 109 G6 even though I have purchased all the premium versions of all the games through Bodenplatte and Flying Circus.  It appears to be present in the root folder under data\planes\ and there is a folder for it's skin, but there are no skins in it.  I noticed that one guy in the forums mentioned taking it for a spin in a one on one in QM, but it's not there in my plane list when I do a QM. The G4 is there, but not the G6. I should be able to access it given that I purchased all premium versions of the game.  Anyone out there have an explanation of why I'm not able to access it?

Its a standalone - not included in the premium editions.

For some reason, I thought it came with BoK, too. Explains why I couldn't select it last night in WoL, doh.
