SCG_Schneemann Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 Has anyone done this? I couldn't find anything in the forum. I want to put custom skins in a co op, but Dserver wont load the mission unless I have stock skins. I even put the skins in the deserver PC directory and it won't load the mission. As soon as I change it to stock skins it loads. Would be nice to get a custom squad to fly instead of shotgunned default skins. BTW, if I run it resident on mt flying PC, it works just fine (loads custom skin missions).
Sketch Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 (edited) I don't have any idea why it's not working, as I've never tried to give users custom skins as part of the mission (but instead let my players select them when they loaded in). You can lock everything, and leave the skin choices unlocked. Maybe, check the naming convention of all of your custom skins. They should not have spaces or any unique characters. Try naming them with camel casing ---> ThisIsHowYouShouldNameThem Edited September 4, 2018 by [TWB]Sketch
SCG_Schneemann Posted September 4, 2018 Author Posted September 4, 2018 Yep, will try it Sketch. I don't think there is any weird naming, but I'll check. They work in MP, and on Dserver when you can select them, but I'd like to give the squad and AI the same look, and it's hiccupping there. Maybe it's a Dserver thing. Like I said, when I go in to host a co op on my FLYING PC, it works fine. It's just trying to host on Dserver. "Feature"? 1
SCG_Schneemann Posted September 5, 2018 Author Posted September 5, 2018 Spot on, Sketch... Dogfight on Dserver, MP on Dserver (other's servers), and hosting a Co Op on my flying PC there was no issue with the old naming convention. The culprit was a space in one of the skins. Dashes and underscores still work. Will rename them all and soldier on. Funny how Co Op is the only one that messes things up. Dogfight missions the space was fine (or maybe not - it might be a 3.005 thing?) Oh well - fixed! 1
