My understanding InProgress is that GermanWolf has got Steam..he just doesn't own any BOX products on Steam. So if Kuban was going to be his first BOX product to purchase it wont work on steam..He needs BOS on Steam before he purchases Kuban there hope thats right GermanWolf? 1

Buying one of them through Steam is just a ticket to download the sim through it, and once you start the game with your normal account it would still contain all your keys/content, surely? On this site you can buy any of the products you want. On Steam you have to own Battle of Stalingrad to buy other maps and planes. Doesn't make sense, I know.

Doesn't make sense, I know. I don't think it's steam fault. You can have standalone product and have it integrated in original game. Dawn of war 2 for example. If you buy dawn of war 2 chaos rising you will have it in library and you can play it as new game or run old dow2 and play it from there. Also these are separate on steam store and not listed as dlc. So it is possible, or was if something changed.

If not why does it specifically say on the store page you must own BOS on Steam to activate another Steam product eg BOM,BOK collector planes? So you can buy BOS here from the store page..then Kuban from Steam and it works? I wouldn't have thought so I believe I've given the answer to GermanWolf has he has thanked me for it? If I'm wrong about this then I apoligize to the OP for the incorrect information..I'm going by what it states on the IL2 official Store page regarding Steam purchases so say I see Kuban on steam cheap..but I don't already own BOS on steam I can Activate the steam key here on the official site?
