Sometimes I wish I could give out more than one point for a post.

The P-38s starting with the J at least (possibly the H as well) also had connectors for anti-G suits. The same goes for the F4U, though I'm not sure if the F4U-1 had them from the start.

Were g-suits standard issue by Korea? I imagine they’d be very handy for the F-86 pilots.

Read somewhere a long time ago (if I recall correctly) that Mustang pilots were occasionally returning to base with popped rivets and distorted wings once G suits started to be issued.

That would be Yeager .. for one.. for sure..

I have cleaned up this thread a bit ..

Makes sense.  Read his book back when I was in high school.

...don't forget farting, as this would increase the pressure within the anti-G suit ?

lol this is genius. Unfortunately sometimes you pass out from the smell :)

There's a thing...

but what about your oxygen mask? True you don't wear it all the time yet*, but the higher you go the lower the ambient pressure, therefore the more likely you are to fart and equally the more likely you are to wear your oxygen mask. Could be a decent chart in this for those of us who chart this kind of altitude performance ?

This leaves scope for developments like some type of gas reclaim set up that vented to the rear of the aircraft, incorporating some sort of boost tube with an igniter to add a little extra kick when you need it...with an option to light it up or not depending on what type of nasty little surprise you feel like giving the guy on your six ??

In DCS not having a g suit i think is an advantage because wings are sensitive to high G  .Probably in BOS it's and advantage  to have one.
