senseispcc Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Before taking off I note my waypoints direction, altitudes, distances and time of departure, temperature and cloud level but I noted something new today the "layer thickness"? Is this something new? On the other hand, is it because end march 1942 and temperatures are going up in the game clouds are more important? Another thing that is not the first time I noticed is that my wingmen tend to get prone to accidents at takeoff; the squadron lost eight airplanes in total in three accidents at takeoff, better said shortly after takeoff.
dburne Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 As far as clouds, they were changed in an update not too long ago I think. More layers if I recall.
Gambit21 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 It’s simply a different cloud preset/setting sensei, of which there are many.
katdog5 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 All I know is that I’ve experienced some amazeballs clouding as of late
40plus Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Yeh, the clouds are properly pretty now and a treat to fly around.

I know that video by Arthur Smedley. Very atmospheric with the water drops on the canopy and double cloud layers. I hoped actually there was a real preset for it. Which I might have overlooked for some reason. The heavy weather selection in QM only showing the two layers once in a while in my case. Edit: Really nice the double cloud layers. [APAF]VR_Spartan85 Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 The clouds are really awesome in this sim and the moisture effect when flying through them is a bonus. Having layers of cloud to fly through creates an even more fun game of cat and mouse or having a formation flight to the target... im just hoping they fix the pixelisation issue. 1 when in visual of an aircraft about 1-2km and they pass in front of a cloud and they start to go almost invisible and 2 when a distant aircraft about 7-8km maneuvers infront of clouds and is somehow covered by the ones near horizon now I’m used to it but I’m hoping with the new graphic touches it is also looked at... 1
JG300_Egon Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 +1000 Spartan + Liaising effect on the clouds in the distance...
