Trying to install BoS but get message "failed to update"

It´s not from steam. I have a license key and got the game from the il2 site long ago. I decided to reinstall the game and got the first small EXE file.

 

After the installation it opens the window showing the BoS picture and tries to update the files. Then I get the message "failed to update".

 

Trying for 3 days now.
