Weird FPS glitch

Hello, I have my IL-2 configurations really well tuned, and I get good graphics with 60fps, however, sometimes, the fps will suddenly drop and lock at 35, no warning, and it only goes up if I zoom in.
It's really strange, wanted to ask here if anyone else experiences the same?

I'm locked at 60 fps and I get frame rate drop when zooming in and panning.  I'm not sure if it's normal though.

What hardware and game settings do you use? It could be indicative of marginal performance despite sustaining 60 fps most of the time.

Tiny stutters are not unusual. I have experienced them, even on very powerful systems. However, prolonged frame rate drops are not normal unless the hardware is generally insufficient.
