neede help with graphics setting

my pc:

I7 3.4 gig ,nvidia 1060 6 gig ram 16 gig free ram .

here is what my setting is image ,  an image off what my stalingrad looks like and what it should look like in this youtube vid .

when that picture was taken were you on a multiplayer server?  If so was that server Wings of Liberty?  If so, they have buildings turned off (except target buildings) to help with the heavy load.  It looks a lot like that picture you presented.

"game is paused" suggests its not MP.....is it a mission that you have created?

i dont play online , this image was taken by me from my mission over stalingrad , first time over the city since i bought the game 3 days ago . What do i need to change in my settings is my question  to see the city the way i should in the video above ..

Hello dog,  just to be certain here; 

Is this a mission you have created yourself or downloaded or is this image taken when you are flying over Stalingrad in the game's Quick Mission builder?

this image and the one above was taken by myself in my single mission first time over the city this evening, i don't play quick missions . i was expecting to see it the way i saw it in the video from youtube a couple of days ago .above you can see my graphic card set up .the driver is the latest . My graphic card is default settings , no over clocking or any adjustments .

Dog - the question being asked is - IS THIS A MISSION YOU CREATED ?

 

The reason its being asked it that what you are seeing very much appears to be the base map with no added features. This, as Mike pointed out is a feature common on servers in outside of the main areas of interest and is done to save on performance overheads. If this is a mission you created but you didn't populate it with buildings then this is what you will see and its not your settings (which are as they should be)

 

If it is a mission of your own making, try a flight over Stalingrad in the quick missions. If all is correct you should see more detail as per the video.

so its empty and  must populate ,  is there a one install combo for the destroyed city as per the video above ? or must i go myself street by street and set it all up with the objects availlable ?

Pretty sure there are many user made missions available for download that you could edit to negate the need for you to play Civilisations.

so i have to do all the work , i thought it was built up as part of the game default scenery .

I don't understand - are you willing to listen to anyone of us? So try this:

- Select Quick Mission

- On the upper right corner select the map you want: Stalingrad Summer, Autumn, Winter

- Select the icon with single plane near the city

- Start flying and you will see: everything is fine and looks like in the video above

 

No need to reinstall anything or to download special scenery. Just give it a go, will you?

since we have to populate ourselves the cities of interest to our misions thats what i have begun doing , done it a million times over the past 20 years from CFS2 maps and sceneries  to il2 modded  maps . Since i just bought the game i just didnt imagine this was the case here , it looked like the 2 d maps from early 2000 era . I completed half of stalingrad last night in 30 mn .Great FPS . thanks for explanation
