It's a tricky one right? What would you choose to personalise your plane? I've never learned to skin and so haven't been able to make my own, but it's fun to think about. I was just watching 'disenchanted' and there is a great character design which I think would look great on a ww2 warbird... 

 

What would you choose for yours??

I'll make that into a skin for you when the Jug get's here Diggun.

 

I tend to stick with historical schemes, although when I did the 352nd Mustang skins for the old IL2 I created a few of my own.

I probably won't go into heavy-duty skinning mode, too much work to do in the editor...however with the 9th Air Force Jugs coming I'll make a 1 or 2 I'm sure.

Any chance of skins w/o bare metal exposed? I only ask because it looks kinda wonky with my settings.

Kewl skin! Is that your personal skin or did you make it for the community? I picked up the P40 today, I just love the P40 and want to pick up all the available skins for it.  I have been looking for P40 skins featuring pinups. I really adore old school pinup art and pinups, too. ?

Oh yes, that one is mine and I don't typically share out skins with the community because most multiplayer servers don't allow for custom skins. Here's another one of mine:

If you can't tell, I'm not really into making sure it's exactly one hundred percent accurate... but artistically sound (at least in my opinion). I nearly have every plane done on the Allied side... only because we typically end up flying Allied.

Great skins! I really like the serpent on the IL2 and the way you did the wings on the La-5 #7. And that last Lagg looks like it has seriously seen some action..Excellent work and very creative, Sketch. S!

I like your little devil character! When I eventually get around to making a personal skin (Or better yet, when I find a talented artist willing to create my personal skin for me) I will likely go with a pinup girl. I really love pinup art by Gil Elvgren and Alberto Vargas, so I will want a pinup girl from one of those artists on my personal paintscheme. S! MJ
