IL-2 and period flight manuals

Hi there, new to IL-2.

 

I'm wondering what the applicability is-- if any-- of actual WW2 flight manuals and training films to operating in-game aircraft? Aside from simple HUD and keyboard controls, is it theoretically possible to operate a simulated plane exclusively from sources such as the following?

The fantastic A2ASimulations B-17G with AccuSim for FSX can be flown and operated according to the original manuals (that are also part of the package).

 

As far a flying and operating a simulated aircraft goes it's my favourite by far.

 

Wish one day I'll see such details in a combat flight sim.

I wish there were a LaGG-3 english manual

Is in HTML open in Chrome and translate Russian>English - is usable. IMO - RL procedures don't fit well in games.

Perhaps more useful - the original LaGG-3 1943 VVS manual adapted to il-2 BoS combat flight simulation by 72AG_martefi.

 

- Added necessary procedures to successfully fly a CFS online (computer, joystick, Internet... "check").

- Remove from original manual procedures that don't affect the CFS, like rules for aircraft pre flight external visual inspection.

 

In .doc format (easy to cut and past to translate) - in Russian.
